CITIZENS FOR GREAT FALLS (CFGF)

Great Falls now has a new non-profit, non-partisan, membership-driven community organization formed by residents who believe that a strong voice is needed to represent the views and interests of the community especially in matters affecting school boundaries, land development and zoning regulation, protections for the fragile environment associated with the Potomac Watershed, and transportation policies and operations that impact our community’s quality of life.

Incorporated on June 6 and registered with the IRS as a 501 (c)(4) organization, Citizens For Great Falls is an advocacy group operated primarily for the conduct of activities that benefit the community as a whole, fostering "civic betterment and social improvements".

The efforts to launch CFGF began with discussions and a recognition of the need for:

Greater community participation;

Broader inclusion of interested residents in decision-making,

Stronger advocacy,

Fair representation; and

Building awareness of the ever-expanding range of critical issues impacting the community.

CFGF is supported by dues and donations and relies entirely on the dedication of its volunteer members.
